JJ Connect continues to grow as a platform connecting locations to our network of industry professionals. With an array of properties, from converted Victorian schools such as Canterbury Crescent, ref 15354, to Modern Warehouse’s, we’re often asked if you need a large property to be in our extensive library. The answer is ‘no’. With the use of clever, innovative design you can make even the smallest of spaces shoot ready.
As part of London Design Festival, we visited ‘Urban Cabin’, a micro-house created by ‘MINI LIVING‘ and Sam Jacob, a local London architect. MINI LIVING adopts a creative use of space to explore the future of housing in the cities we love. Made from materials reflecting its surroundings, the micro-house sits perfectly in Oxo Tower Wharf.
The micro-house resembles the size of a large garden shed, yet boasts a library, kitchen/dining space AND a place to rest your head. With glass ceilings, the space is flooded with light, making it feel habitable, spacious and modern.
The uncluttered aesthetic, along with clever use of design, transforms this seemingly uninhabitable space into a tranquil, usable location that is also notably photogenic.
If you haven’t had a chance already, the ‘Urban Cabin’ will be at Oxo Tower Wharf, London, SE1 9GY until the 24th September 17. Pop along, get inspired and get savvy with the space you have.
