How to become a Creation Catalyst

Warehouse Manager – My Average Day

Warehouse Manager – My Average Day
My role as Warehouse Manager within JJ Media Equipment covers many areas.

The day usually begins for me by checking in with my team to catch up and complete a handover. This involves ensuring jobs currently out on hire are going well and all clients are happy. Ensuring additional equipment has been received by clients also forms part of my morning. All deliveries and sub hire returns then need to be checked, to do this I liaise with the transport department.

Over the duration of the day, I usually receive about 100 phone calls, mainly from Account Handlers. My vast equipment knowledge helps them with day-to-day requests from clients. We also ensure our rental software (RMS) is kept accurate and live.  It is important to make sure we are maximising the use of our equipment, plus keeping the scanning systems up to date.

During the day I frequently catch up with clients either via email, phone or lunch meetings where I get great feedback. The high standard of equipment always impresses them.

Late afternoons and early evenings are spent making sure that all jobs for that evening and following day are packed, scanned and presented in keeping with JJ Media’s high standards.

In my role as Warehouse Manager, I get great satisfaction in keeping the equipment up to a very high standard and looking great! This is the most powerful form of advertising we have.
